But in the twilight pink,

there’s been a space in my brain
called memento mori.

but it was just philosophizing
memento mori.

I think about the friends I’ve lost.
I think about sin and what it’s cost.
I feel the same fear of forever
that I felt as a kid
when I comforted myself that all things come to an end.

like a giant run-on sentence
